New EO appointed for workforce fund
October 2025
Anika Speedy has been appointed as the new Executive Officer for the Workforce Futures Fund | Tahua Rāngaimahi Anamata.
Board Chair Jane Wrightson said they were delighted to appoint someone of Anika’s calibre.
“We are looking forward to Anika starting with the fund, as she has perfectly matched skills and experiences including strategic agility, grantmaking knowledge and excellent operational competency. Anika brings a values-driven approach and commitment to impact.”
Anika is currently the Chief Executive of Booster Foundation.
Jane said there would be a solid handover given Anika starts on October 28 and current EO Sue McCabe finishes on October 31.
“A top priority for the Board was a good leadership transition to support the grantees, applicants and other stakeholders of the fund. This is greatly assisted by our capable Administrator Ruth Harper.
“We wish Sue well in her new role, and thank her for the exceptional job she has done as our inaugural Chief Executive establishing and implementing the fund’s outreach and processes.”
