AI Development Initiative for disability support services

Lead organisation:

My Life My Voice Charitable Trust

Increasing the uptake of AI by the disability support workforce to benefit the efficiency and quality of services it provides is the focus of a two year project by My Life My Voice Charitable Trust.

As part of this project My Life My Voice will work with a range of pan disability groups and representatives of disabled communities to co-design publicly available resources and education material to build the workforce’s use of AI.

The comprehensive AI Resources will include: AI competency frameworks; employer training modules; industry implementation strategies; AI user guides; policy templates for ethical AI use; e-learning modules; plain-language instructions; step-by-step visual aids; and digital literacy supports that improve confidence in using everyday tools (e.g. tablets, spreadsheets).

The team will provide implementation support and work to foster the sector’s long-term engagement with AI technologies to drive innovation and inclusion. They’ll also share project learnings to increase the positive impact of this work to a wider audience.
