Directors appointed to oversee fund

June 2024

Maxine Graham, Fiona Kingsford, Jeremy Sole and Jane Wrightson have been appointed as Directors of the Community Social Support Industry Training Organisation (CSSITO).

The selection committee were delighted with the extremely high quality of applicants, which made the shortlisting and recruitment process challenging.

The result is an exceptional Board with both relevant and diverse skills, experiences and backgrounds to oversee the distribution of the Workforce Futures Fund | Tahua Rāngaimahi Anamata.

Maxine Graham is a Te Arataura Board member (Waikato-Tainui Tribal Executive); a Technical Lead of the Mātauranga Iwi Leaders Group; and Chair of the Waikato-Tainui Grants Committee.

Fiona Kingsford is Chief Executive of Whānau Awhina Plunket; Chair of the Apprenticeship Training Trust of New Zealand; former Chief Executive of Competenz; and former Chair Māori and Pasifika Trades Training.

Jeremy Sole is a Board Member of the Museum of Transport and Technology; the Business Leader Group Chair for the Weave NZ Centre for Leadership Excellence; and former Chief Executive of the Electrical Training Company.

Jane Wrightson is the Retirement Commissioner; Chair of Experience Wellington; Board Director for Radio New Zealand and former Chief Executive of the funding body NZ On Air.

The appointments were confirmed by the shareholders of CSSITO. The selection committee included shareholder representatives: Norah Barlow, member of the interim CSSITO Board; Maihi Cooper, President of the Pest Management Association of New Zealand; Belinda Himiona, Chief Executive of Social Service Providers Aotearoa; and Jane Zintl, Chief Executive Officer of Ara Taiohi.

The directors will take up their role from July 1, 2024.
